Tait Celestial Winter Prom ✨

The Tait Memorial Trust's Tait Celestial Winter Prom was a night to remember! Held on November 20th, this stunning evening showcased the remarkable talent of emerging musicians from New Zealand and Australia. Highlights included the introduction of Noah and Toby, recipients of our prestigious Smith Square Sinfonia Scholarship.

Already, these two exceptional musicians have hit the ground running at Smith Square Sinfonia:

Toby:"With one week in the orchestra and the first concert done and dusted, I couldn’t be more excited for the year to come. The standard of the music making is of the highest level and connecting with so many new and like-minded people has been a real treat."

Noah: "What a whirlwind it has been, but it is very exciting to have my feet on the ground in London and ready to start at Sinfonia Smith Square! We had our first 'Rush Hour' concert at St. John's Waterloo on Wednesday 16 October, featuring Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. It has a special place in my heart as the first symphony I ever played back in 2013 and it is full of beautiful oboe lines. It was also great to be conducted by another fellow kiwi and former Sinfonia member, Eugene Lee. I'm looking forward to the year ahead!"

This year’s Winter Prom not only celebrated the achievements of these talented musicians but also showcased these incredible young artists supported by the NZUK Link Foundation, Smith Sq. Sinfonia and the Tait Memorial Trust. Here's to many more magical moments!
